Ampeg is a Manufacturer famously known for its bass amplifiers. It is Originally founded in 1946 in Linden, New Jersey by Everitt Hull and Stanley Michaels as Michaels-Hull Electronic Labs, today Ampeg is section of the Yamaha Guitar Group. Although the company concentrates on the production of bass amplifiers, it has earlier manufactured guitar amplifiers, pickups and various instruments including, double basses, bass guitars, and electric guitars.

The popular Ampeg company is broadly recognised in the range of bass amps. They further have a line of guitar amplifiers and a remake of the Dan Armstrong guitar and bass.
