Description

Gibson SG Special Faded Worn Brown Electric Guitar

Gibson SG Special Faded Worn Brown Electric Guitar featured with a thinner mahogany body with beveled ends and fine horns, so the guitar ultimately got a new name SG, which were for Solid Guitar. A huge success for Gibson the right design for the times. SGs were finished in Cherry, which was all the style in the '60s, however, some were produced in both solid black or white. This original SG Special was a mid-level instrument that gave all the features most guitarists desired in terms of playability and sound.

Now SG Special has a few features similar as like the pricier SG Standard, similar the larger pickguard and real humbuckers with no covers. Early Les Pauls had enormous necks, but by 1960 the neck underwent many modifications until it became what's known as the slim-taper design. And the combination of a broad but thin mahogany neck with the light of the traditional rosewood fingerboard, you'll love the SG Special. When you want to deliver some thunderous power chords, you reach for a guitar that's got a couple of humbuckers, skip all those thin out-of-phase guitars sounds that the session professionals overused in the 1980s and right through much of the '90s. SG Special Sound is all about the warmth, punch and midrange complexity you can just get from a pair of Gibson humbuckers. The SG Special Faded appears with a pair of coverless 'buckers: a P-90 Neck and bridge position for strong power, whether you're performing rhythm or digging into a song.
