Behringer MIC500USB Tube Microphone Preamp is perfectly designed to offer you high-end tube-driven pre-amplification for all instruments, microphones, and line-level sources. It uses a hand-selected 12AX7 vacuum tube for excellent warmth with an extremely low noise floor. You get fair inputs and outputs on 1/4 inch TRS and XLR connectors, a phase reverse switch, 48-volt phantom power, and a 20dB Pad for the utmost flexibility. This MIC500USB gives 16 preamp voicings through its built-in USB/audio interface and free audio recording software with 150 instrument/effect plug-ins that are downloadable right from Behringer's site.

Designed in the 1940s by RCA engineers, the 12AX7 vacuum tube is an ultra-low-noise, high-gain tube that gives great sound to the preamplification stage. In addition, MIC500USB pairs the 12AX7 tube with a 20dB pad and a complex output limiter to protect signal clipping upon input and output. Also, you get a dedicated low-cut filter to reduce undesired low frequencies.
