Gibson IM98T-DB 498T Hot Alnico Humbucker Guitar Pickup is a high-output version of the 490T, Gibson’s 498T humbucker links the extra powerful response of an Alnico V magnet with added matched windings on each coil, which sets the emphasis on the pickup’s topmost midrange frequencies for improved sustain and crunch.

The Gibson IM98T-DB 498T is ideal for any hard rock application, quickly overdriving amplifiers for a strong, sizzling output that encourages any guitar’s power and presence. And the pole pieces on the 498T are further aligned a little notably apart to adjust the spacing of the strings at the bridge, in which quite different than the spacing of the strings at the neck. This support in delivering powerful leads and thick rhythm without losing the single-note definition. This 498T features shielded, parallel or split coil operation, four-conductor wiring for series, and is completely wax potted to eliminate any chance of microphonic feedback.
