The Evans B14DRY genera is a 10mil single-ply with the fat spread of a double-ply. A 2mil overtone control ring on the bottom controls excessive overtones supports a shorter sound and adjustable tuning. The addition of small vents around the perimeter of the dry version pass additional overtones and produce a more focused sound. A warm sound with a fat and focused attack and minimal sustain.
