DW DRPM0814SSCS Performance Series 8 x 14 inches Chrome Over Steel Snare Drum is perfectly designed with an all-steel shell, all chrome hardware, tuning sequence numbering, and a Remo Coated Control Sound batter head, a Clear snare side resonant head. It has a Propeller-style turret, DW MAG snare throw-off system, 3.0mm triple-flange hoops.

And it’s True-pitch rod provides you more control over your sound by providing for perfect tuning as compared to standard 12/24 threads. A purposefully easy configuration, the MAG is a workhorse drop throw-off with horizontal tension arrangement and smooth, simple adjust action. Integrated magnet into the body of the throw-off. While the arm is in the up position, it won't release without a small tug. While it does release, it throws the strainer fully off the head to avoid any strainer buzz.

The Ture-tuning rod also features 5mm threads rather than 12/24 which is standard on several drums. When compared, there is 1 thread every 0.8mm on the rod (about 20% extra threads), versus 1 thread every 1.05mm on many other drums. Hence the result is a more precise tuning process.
