DW DRPS5514SSTB Performance Series 5.5 x 14 inch Tobacco Satin Oil Snare Drum is introducing with all chrome hardware, a Remo Coated Control Sound batter head, a North American hard rock maple shell, with Clear snare side resonant head and a tuning sequence numbering.

This Performance Series snare comes with propeller style turret lugs, a DW MAG snare throw-off system, and 3.0mm triple-flange hoops. True Pitch tuning rods provide you more control over your sound by enabling more accurate tuning as compared to standard 12/24 threads.

It features a 10-ply HVX construction, connecting the latest grain orientation technology and hand-picked North American hard rock maple to provide a punchy, low fundamental, with enough resonance and projection that's perfectly suited for live applications.

An advanced simplistic design, the MAG is a workhorse drop throw-off with horizontal tension adjustment and sleek, smoothly adjust the action. It receives its name from a magnet that is combined into the body of the throw-off. While the handle is in the up position, it won't release without a slight tug. When it does release, it throws the strainer completely off the head to avoid any strainer buzz.

Additionally features a tuning rods 5mm threads fairly than the 12/24 that is standard on most drums. To compare, there is 1 thread every 1.05mm on most other drums, versus 1 thread every 0.8mm on True-Pitch rods (about 20% more threads). The effect is a more exacting tuning process.
