Each of the master volume and master tones controls highlights full-size 500K potentiometers accompanying sturdy all-metal 3-way toggle pickup selector switch for long performances or rehearsals. Epiphone SG features a set of hot, open-coil, noise-free Humbucker pickups, respectively for the bridge position (700T) and neck position (650R) for a melodious tone output.

SG Special features an enticing Double-cutaway design that is the ultimate design for chording and providing players accesses to all 22 frets. The bolt-on Okoume neck has a classic SlimTaper D profile neck and a standard 24.75-inch scale. The Rosewood fingerboard with dot inlay is coupled with Okoume neck. It has an Ebony gloss finish on the mahogany body. SG Special features solid nickel hardware. Epiphone SG has a Tone/Killpot control that acts like a regular tone control. This double-cutaway design guitar has 6 strings and a 2-layer black/white Pickguard.
