K Custom splash cymbal was designed with famed-drummer Akira Jimbo. It comes with a unique traditional finish on the outside half and a brilliant finish on the inner half assists give this cymbal its own sound and character. Like all Zildjian, K Customs cast bronze cymbals, are exclusively poured and cast from raw molten metal. All casting is cooled and separated by weight for each cymbal model. Then castings are put through multiple sequences of heating, rolling, shaping, hammering, and lathing techniques unique to each cymbal range. These cast bronze cymbals have an intense, full-bodied sound that improves with time. Zildjian K1211 also have greater projection, clarity, and durability than any other cymbals. The Zildjian cast cymbals are created from the Zildjian secret alloy, which is constituted of 80% copper, 20% tin, and traces of silver.
