Description

Yamaha HS7-W 6.5 inch White Active Powered Studio Subwoofer

Yamaha HS7-W 6.5 inch White Active Powered Studio Subwoofer is perfectly designed to offer you signature sound, nearfield reference monitors have become a true manufacturer's standard for a reason - their precision and accuracy. This HS7-W speaker amazingly designed to offer you the most accurate, specific reference possible, giving an ideal sonic platform to develop on throughout the mixing process. By consolidating gained knowledge and experience with state-of-the-art sound technologies, Yamaha's speaker engineering team has tested, then improved, every phase that has provided to making these monitors the most advanced in the business.

When picking studio reference monitors for music production and mixing, one concern takes priority above all others - accuracy.

Starting with the standard NS-10M, and proceeding with the MSP and previous HS Series, this modern lineup gives a design philosophy that features sonic virtue without any coloring or variation of the original sound. While multiple companies seek to improve the sound of their monitors to deliver them sound awesome, Yamaha studio monitors are created to deliver the best potential mix by assuring that the sound from your speakers is right to the original.

Newly Advanced Transducers

The HS Series comes with innovatively developed transducers that deliver astonishingly stable responses over a broad range of bandwidth. Such transducers use a high-level magnetic field design that improves the flow of magnetic response to give seamless, consistent sonic transitions. Every component's materials and design were meticulously re-examined, then optimized, to drastically develop the precision of signal reproduction throughout the audio spectrum.

Tweeter

Yamaha HS7-W is equipped with a newly designed, highly effective 1-inch dome tweeter that improves the proper frequency range considerably and gives excellent high-resolution sound. Using a thick waveguide intended to reduce vibration the unique tweeter is able to give smooth, distortion-free high end up to 30 kHz.

Woofer

Including modern designed, super-responsive woofers that use large, delicately picked magnets, HS Series monitors provide low distortion sound with an exceptional bottom end at any output level. All of the elements in these high-power woofers, with the woofer ring and the basket, more add to the HS Series' stunning bass while giving clear, detailed mids.

High-Performance Amp Unit

The HS7-W speakers use an amplifier unit well suited to the transducers used in each model of the series. It comes with a bi-amp design with a separate dynamic amp for both the tweeter and the woofer, this amplifier system assures that each HS Series speaker consistently produces high-resolution sound with an especially smooth response across the sound spectrum.

Low Resonance Enclosure Design

Yamaha HS7-W cabinets are invented to exclude undesired resonance and improve the precision of sound reproduction to their extreme limit. This enclosure is built from a very solid and flexible MDF with a damped acoustic response that is ideally accommodated for reference monitors. Extracting from Yamaha's over 100 years of piano design expertise, HS Series engineers also used a traditional mitered-joint three-way technique. Simple to engineered design this system securely anchors the corners of the enclosure to dramatically develop strength and reduce unwanted resonance that can affect the overall sound.

Cutting Edge Noise Reduction Technology

Speaker port configuration can considerably affect the accuracy of the overall sound. Usually, a vortex at both ends of the port can create air vibrations inside of the port, creating undesired noise. By using a high-level noise reduction technology that combines a thorough analysis of a visual representation of the sound, Yamaha's engineers can manage and overcome the vortex. Within this in-depth analysis, Yamaha has come to the perfect port design, resulting in a modification of audible noise up to 6dB. The use of this state-of-the-art technology provides HS Series studio monitors to satisfy the demands of more strict professional production situations.

Connectivity and Controls

Yamaha HS7-W full range loaded with two response keys with specific settings that enable them to accommodate the surface acoustics of opportunities of diverse size and shape. ROOM CONTROL lets you attenuate the fake, distorted low-end that can usually occur while listeners are placed next to walls, while HIGH TRIM provides for more compliant control of the high-frequency response. It provides a broad range of unbalanced and balanced sources such as keyboards, mixers, and audio interfaces with TRS and XLR phone jacks. Including the HS7-W subwoofer, HIGH CUT control sets the cutoff frequency of subwoofer output high-frequency attenuation from 80Hz to 120Hz, while the PHASE switch changes the phase of the subwoofer output. In addition LOW CUT switch and LOW CUT, controls allow attenuation of low frequencies for output between 80Hz and 120Hz. This HS7-W subwoofer is outfitted with XLR and TRS phone jack inputs and outputs XLR for L and R and EXT SUB out.

Flexible Set up (HS-I only)

By combining mounting points and to the HS, HS-I models are fit with three optional bracket types—ceiling, wall, and baton adding the versatility demanded to meet the needs of a wide range of sonic environments.
