Korg MS-20 Kit Analog Synthesizer is introducing with an architecture featuring two oscillators and envelope generators with hold and delay. The Voltage Controlled Amplifier keeps the basic design of the original. It used complex VCF circuits depending on the date of production, with more advanced units featuring a filter noted for its unique distortion and self-oscillation, while the filters utilized in later units had a low-noise design with a softer character. This kit includes both filters enabling you to switch between the two by leaving a jumper on the circuit board. The External Signal Processor (ESP) provides for using the volume or pitch of an external audio source to control the synthesizer. You can include an electric guitar and utilize the MS-20 kit as a guitar synthesizer, or attach a microphone for use as a vocal synthesizer. A soft patching system is presented that allows for creating different modulation routing, and by following the leading panel printed flow chart, even amateurs can take advantage of these patching opportunities right away. Easily joining the unit to a computer enables it to be triggered by a sequencer.
