Hyper-Drive is the modern standard depth size on tom-toms. Its small depth offers improved attack, quick response, and punchy sound. Plus it allows you to set up the rack toms in the lower place. Therefore you can post the tom-toms more freely.

All Superstar rack toms are equipped with a Star-Cast Mounting System alike to Starclassic drums. This special system gives unhindered shell resonance and total tom isolation without adverse effect on tuning or complex head changes found in less advanced suspension designs. All shell of Hyper-Drive is finished in Black Nickel Plated. The stunning looking making a higher-grade sense of quality.

This Superstar is outfitted with the zinc die-cast hoops featured on Starclassic drums. The Die-cast hoops are not only making more consistent and tuning easier, but they also give clear, crisp attack and resonance high, and much more powerful rim shots.

The Sound Bridge low-mass, high tension lug was uniquely designed for Superstar. This bridge special construction seems like a traditional high-tension lug, however, the body of the lug floats over the shell to reduce shell contact hence the drum resonates to its fullest. So, it yet provides all the advantages of the traditional high-tension lug, it offsets the tension of the bottom side heads and batter side, minimizes the stress on the shell, and offers higher protection to the drum shell during transportation.

Each Superstar Power Craft II drum heads assure the best sound practically right out the box. And its ring mufflers on the bass heads exclude the needs for more internal muffling.

This Superstar hardware kit also features an advanced cymbal stands. The toothless Quick-set cymbal tilter allows you to change the angle freely and hold it in position by the friction of six metal disc plates instead of gears. You're fully free to modify it to any angle you desire. This mechanism also has an extra durable structure than the standard gear tilter.
